Simple CBT is built by Squeakbyte LLC. This policy explains how the app handles your data.

The short version: Your data stays on your device. We don't sell it, and we don't track you.

What Data the App Stores

Simple CBT stores the content you create, such as journal entries, mood check-ins, and related reflections, locally on your device. The app also stores your preferences and settings locally. None of this data is sent to Squeakbyte LLC or any third party.

iCloud Sync

If you choose to enable iCloud Sync in the app's settings, your data is synced to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. This data is encrypted and stored by Apple under your Apple Account. Squeakbyte LLC does not have access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud Sync or delete your synced data at any time from within the app.

On-Device Processing

Some features in Simple CBT use on-device intelligence provided by Apple to analyze and provide feedback on your content. All processing happens entirely on your device. Your content is never sent to Squeakbyte LLC, external services, or any third party.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Squeakbyte LLC does not collect or have access to your payment information, billing details, or Apple Account information.

Notifications

The app may request permission to send you reminders. All notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.

Anonymous Usage Analytics

Simple CBT collects anonymous, aggregate usage data to help improve the app. This includes general information such as how often features are used and which app version is running. This data contains no personal information, no user identifiers, no device identifiers, and no content from your entries. Usage data is stored using Apple's CloudKit service and cannot be linked back to you. You can opt out of usage analytics at any time in the app's settings.

Third-Party Services

The app uses only Apple-provided services (iCloud, App Store, on-device intelligence, and local notifications). No third-party SDKs or services are integrated into the app.

External Links

The app may contain links to external websites, such as our terms of service. These sites are not operated by Squeakbyte LLC, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Data Deletion

You can delete all of your data, including any iCloud-synced data, from within the app's settings at any time.

Children's Privacy

Simple CBT is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
