By downloading or using Simple CBT ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. Intellectual Property

The App and all associated trademarks, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights belong to Squeakbyte LLC. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App or any part of it.

2. Nature of the App

Simple CBT is a self-help journaling tool based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) principles. The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a qualified mental health professional immediately. Squeakbyte LLC is not a healthcare provider and assumes no responsibility for decisions made based on content within the App.

3. Your Data

The App stores your journal entries and related data on your device. You may optionally enable iCloud sync, which stores an encrypted copy of your data in your private iCloud account. Squeakbyte LLC does not have access to, collect, or transmit your personal data to any third party. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your iCloud account.

4. In-App Purchases

Certain features within the App may require a one-time purchase. All purchases are processed through Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Prices are displayed clearly before purchase. Squeakbyte LLC reserves the right to change pricing or available features at any time. Purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

5. Availability & Updates

Squeakbyte LLC may update, modify, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, or compatible with your device or operating system version. You are responsible for keeping your device updated and accepting App updates when available.

6. Internet Connectivity

Certain optional features (such as iCloud sync and purchase restoration) require an active internet connection. Squeakbyte LLC is not responsible for reduced functionality due to lack of connectivity. Any data charges incurred through your mobile network provider are your responsibility.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Squeakbyte LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

8. Changes to These Terms

Squeakbyte LLC may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be posted within the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
